I have a 2007 L322 Supercharged. My backup camera slowly has gotten to where it doesn’t work at all.

First it would sometimes get lines through the picture or even go black and white. Then it started to not have a picture at all sometimes. Now it just has no picture, just a black screen, other than the reverse warning words on the screen, so it isn’t like the headunit isn’t working.

There are threads with people replacing the camera with aftermarket ones and how to do that but is there some way that I can troubleshoot and see if it is actually the camera that has went bad or if it is a bad connection somewhere?

Thanks for the help.

I'm in the same boat as you but the rear camera isn't very high on my priority list so I haven't gotten around to troubleshooting yet.

Essentially, I was going to follow Powerful UK's YouTube video on inspecting the camera unit and hope it is just a connection issue.

This following video shows how to remove the tailgate to access the camera.
