Does anyone use a hitch mounted cargo carrier (with the standard US receiver)?

I'm interested in recommendations on brands that work well, and whether a folding model will work on the Range Rover.

Thanks.

These work great. I've used mine for years. So much better than the roof-mounted cargo carriers I used to use. They swing to the side so you can open the rear.

Wow! That's a nice looking carrier.

Do you need an extender, or is the shank long enough as originally purchased?

Is it large enough for tires, and if so how many? Among other reasons for looking at one of these is to transport tires and other "dirty" stuff (plants, small trees, coolers, camping equipment, etc.) without having to get a trailer or a pickup. I hadn't really considered the enclosed carriers prior to seeing this one, but it looks really nice.

Thanks.

The shank is long enough. They have vehicle specific shank lengths. I think I was the first Range Rover they sold to but that was 5 years ago. My wife's car is on their website. It's plenty big enough for tires etc. I have a trailer for hauling junk so I don't use it for that, but we do use it regularly for family trips/vacations.
