Hi All.
My 2007 3.6L V8 Diesel has had two pump replacements in twelve months, fortunately both under warranty. This is the pump mounted on the front of the engine. The story I am being given by the repair shop is that the coil in the solenoid which forms the volume control valve in these things fails and since the pump is a non-service item the entire pump is replaced. Their attitude is that since it was covered under warranty why am I concerned, they also say that it is unusual for these things to fail and its unlikely to do so again...yeah - right !!
Anyone got any info on this issue...I have run a search but cant find anything on the forum.
Cheers
Richard.
