High Pitch Whistle / Whine While Driving over 80 MPH

I have a 2014 RR. It doesn't happen all the time but sometimes when driving 80 + MPH I get a fairly loud whistle / whine coming from what I think is the dashboard area. It's very hard to isolate because of the frequency and it seams to be speed dependent because if I drop the speed a few MPH, it will stop. Here is a link to a recording of the sound. Thank you

I don't think anyone could purposefully create a more annoying sound. Try shutting off the HVAC to at least discern the potential culprit. Maybe toggle the recirculate off and on. Good luck!

That is hilarious.

did you figur this out ?
mine 2017 SC has exactly the same noice, starting at appr 100 MPH. I have the idea it depends on the wind/wind direction because it can start a higher/lower speed when driving in a different dirrection or on another day. Always between 95-110 MPH.
Sounds like a fresh air flap is in an odd position...
It's going in on Monday.

I spoke with an RR windshield guy and it could be a bad seal on the left / right lower side of the windshield. In terms of it being the fresh air flap, it could be. However, it does make the same noise with the climate control on and off.
I know exactly what the issue is. Refer to my thread. I had the exact same problem. I believe I was the first to report it for the L494 and as a result a TSB was released. https://www.rangerovers.net/forum/showthread.php?t=259825

GREAT information Stemikel and
Dmoneyownz . Looks almost like a DIY job. Will talk to my dealer about it and let you all know.
I actually laughed when I heard the sound...which is absolutely terrifyingly annoying. Hope that fix works, because it would drive me nuts.
