Hi all,

About to transplant a high compression Jap spec engine into a 99 (Bosch EFI) Here in SA our Range Rovers only came in the low compression versions so have a slight concern about injection, ignition issues, Im assuming resetting adaptive values would be the 1st thing I should do.

Are there any other issues I need to consider.

The engine is a Gems 4,6 being converted to the later spec setup.
Compression on replacement engine is 9:35

Cheers

Resetting the adaptive values should be enough I think. When you skim/port heads, put in different a camshaft etc, the ECU also seems to be able to handle it OK.
You could look in to the 'market' setting as well, maybe there are some differences there tha can have an influence.

Greetz,

post up how you got the Bosch crank sensor to fit the GEMS block, because as i recall, it is not reverse swappable.
