Hi,
I found a rocker switch under the steering wheel, almost next to the diagnostic socket in my 09 Vogue.

What is it for? When I operate it (I feel a bit guilty as I would have told off my 9 year old son for pressing a button without knowing what it does!) the headlights come on, pumps start running, the infotainment display lights up and probably all sorts of other things as well.

Also, I've noticed recently that the infotainment display is taking longer to wake up when I operate the key switch. The LR logo comes up, but it takes about 5-10 seconds for the screen to become active and in that time it is not possible to alter the audio volume. Any thoughts?

Many thanks,
Andy

It's most likely the switch for transport mode that should have been removed during delivery prep. For details a quick search on "Transport mode" will bring up all sorts of threads on why it is there.
