Hi -

new to this forum but have been driving Rovers for 10 years. I have a 2006 RRS and 2000 Disco. On the RRS, at roughly 30K the brakes started to squeal when coming to a stop...like the last few feet of stopping.. Dealer put new rotors and pads on front....still squeak.... Car has 37K and went in for lube....rear breaks now squeal and pad thickness ok. Dealer saying "sorry, they are just gonna squeal...there is nothing to fix....rotors can develop glazing....".... I dont know what to think...

Second issue is that the steering wheel can will move left to right about 1 inch of travel before engaging wheels...just kinda feels sloppy or loose.....Dealer response "no fix for this...way it is"...

I just dont know if they do not know what to fix, how to fix it or are telling me the honest truth...... Any ideas or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Mike

try some 240 grit sandpaper on the face of the rotors - both sides..

Correction: 120 grit or below.
