Hi I’m new here,
I have a 2000 P38 4.6HSE
About 3 months ago it had two new rear air bags fitted and the system was reset with EAS Unlock and all was well for about 6 weeks. Then it started to get slower and slower to go up and now the EAS pump will not switch on automatically.

• I have done the short circuit at the relay and the pump works (although it is noisy and has been for a while, currently waiting for the repair kit to arrive from the UK)
• I have tested the tank pressure switch, that seems ok
• I have tested the pump overheat circuit, that seems ok
• I have had the EAS Unlock reset software connected and used that to switch on the pump and that works ok
• I have used the soap test and the car has no leaks!

I have run out of options!
PLEASE HELP!!!!!!

If the pump is not turning on automatically it is one of two things either the pressure switch of the thermal switch, my guess would be the thermal switch. The best way to test it is to ground the orange wire that runns out of the pump. I the pump then runs and all is ok you know its the thermal switch, otherwise its the pressure switch
