Hello fellow board members. I'm on the market for a range rover sports supercharged and I'm debating on the 2006 or the 2008. Can you guys let me know your input on this please thanks

I just can't understand those types of questions...The Internet and Google have revolutionized the way we gather data. I probably spent 2 weeks on the interwebs before even registering here. Heck, even an hour would net an incredible amount of information including the fact that there are no MAJOR differences from '06-'09 - guess I just answered the OP's question.

We're all more than willing to help here, but please do some homework first since it isn't a big assumption to assume that topics like this one have been covered ad nauseum.

End rant.
As this thread tip stalls, I'm left wondering why nobody is considering the 2007.
Yeah, who wouldn't want the combo of pre-drilled roof rails and non-power folding side view mirrors of the '07s compared to '06s and '08s.
i thought this forum was for owners who needed help regarding their vehicles? that's what forums are for people! Forum members aren't here to be-rate people with your pre-madonna attitudes. if you can't post any useful information then don't post anything at all! the man had a simple question.
I believe the problem is the question was too “simple” for some.

Buying a used car is like going to the nudy bar and picking out a stripper … the age does not matter so long as the body is in good shape and all the parts work.

At the end of the day, when looking for a used vehicle in a year range where there has been little change, you look for the best deal. An ’06 in mint condition with low miles being sold by a desperate seller who needs it gone asap (usually cause the wife is pissed) will be a better deal than an ’08 with high mileage that has been abused and needs work. If you have the $$ and can find a mint ’08 with low mileage that has never strayed off road, even better.

Shop around, do your homework and you will find a winner (even might end up being an ’07).

Yes but read the by laws in fine print it says 'no stupid questions'
who are you to decide what's stupid and what's not?

Who am I? I'm common sense, I guess we've never met.
Yes - the original thread question is analogous to "vanilla or chocolate?" with the response being "yes".
I am a firm believer in doing a little thinking before opening one''s mouth...or typing.
Not trying to be critcal, just evaluative and courteous.

EXACTLY. If this guy had said "I know the differences between an '06 and '08 are very minor, but I'm having a hard time deciding whether or not to spend more with less miles or spend less with more miles", the responses would have been far more positive. I mean, you're coming to an automotive forum, dress the part.
VERY VERY VERY little is different from the 06 to 09. Want the newer rim design? you can sell the 06 wheels and rims for the same money and then get the 09 wheels and rims off ebay for LESS money. you can even buy bigger original range rover rims for the same money as well. What else is there thats different besides rims? Get an 06 certified pre-owned, which is what I bought for an excellent deal. They gave me an additional 2 years, 25,000 full warranty, for FREE. already had low miles to boot. As long as you can get a legitimate warranty service (i.e., land rovers own CPO warranty) then you're gold.

I hope I was helpful, if you have any more questions dont hesitate to reply or PM me :thumb:
