Help finding an aftermarket brush guard? (1995 County Classic LWB)

Hey everyone!

I'm new to rangerovers.net, I purchased a 1995 Range Rover Classic LWB from a friend this past January. It came without the OEM brush guard but I love the way it looks. Unfortunately I'm having trouble finding information on the specs of the brush guard or understanding how to tell which aftermarket brush guards will fit my model. Does anyone have any idea what the specs are for the original guard? Or any examples of brush guards that will definitely fit this model?

Also, I'm a student currently so I definitely can't afford a used OEM brush guard. I'm looking to find an aftermarket brush guard that I can put on myself.

Thanks!

Jon

Just my opinion but I would guess a used original guard from a 95 LWB would be by far your least expensive option. The plastic coating-like paint tends to crack and flake off leaving a nice rusty patina... like mine has... but it is awaiting a sandblast, and some straightening. They bend easily and are pretty much decorative. Like you I like the look. Anything aftermarket will cost you much more... or not fit with out extensive modification. Check out junk yards, Craig's list, ebay, I'm confident with some patience you would find something you can sand down and repaint with a can of matte black rustoleum that will look pretty good at 10 to 20 feet, and look reasonably original. I've seen whole 95 RRC go for well under $1000 as parts with very nice OEM brushguards, and you still have a whole pile of spares for latter. :)

welcome Jon. And GO NOLES.

I agree.. A "new" aftermarket brush guard will run you more than a used original. I think there are a few currently on Ebay, or there were just a week or two ago. Due to the change in years and addition of crush cans in the 95, there is high demand for uncut crush can covers. I know there are a few people on this forum a little back trying to round these up. Might be an option for you...

As far as aftermarket providers---

ARB - 1k
Rokstar- about 600 plus shipping
Atlantic British used to have an aftermarket one that was 300 i think--- but it is not listing as available.

your key would be finding one local for pickup. Shipping would be a nightmare.
