it's actually not a gasket. It's just a finisher so you don;t see the glass edge or have an unsightly gap. Several folks here have just removed it and not replaced it. For the life of me though I can find one of the existing threads that I know are here with pics.
Just mind if you drive in dusty conditions, dust will like to clump there and will need to be wiped with a cloth and screwdriver if your finger is fat. Power washer usually doesn't do it.
I took mine off for the heck of it and didn't regret it, looks great and like the 2010+.
