Hey Guys,

I recently was in an accident with my Range Rover Sport 2006 HSE and required my left adaptive headlight to be replaced. I took it a body shop in San Jose CA and had it replaced. Well , when I got my vehicle and I noticed that the new replacement light does not shoot out the white blue light like the right one. A white with a slight hint of yellow beams out now on the replaced left headlight. When looking at the lights together, there is a noticeable difference. The body shop advised that Land Rover stated that the original part for this (XBC502100L2N) is no longer made and is replaced by XBC502090LN. I am in the process of validating this with several Land Rover dealers in California Land Rover San Jose, Redwood city and BMCD in San Francisco where I purchased the vehicle. Has anyone experienced this or can anyone shed some light if any of this is true? I really don't want to be stuck with non matching headlights and I prefer the original headlight that came with the sport.

Any help or advise would be appreciated!

Thanks Umberto! But this is going through Insurance as I was rear-ended into another vehicle. Ive also been skeptical of buying things on ebay and don't want to deal with the what if's? Just wondering if what the body shop is advising me is fact and if anyone else experience this.

I agree...this should be a simple replacement of the bulb...but the person at the parts department @ Land Rover stated this could not done ...he was adamant that a replacement would cause damage.. couldn't give me a clear explanation as to why though....
