The fan or more accurately the air output on my range rover is awful.

Is there a pollen filter on this model that could be limiting the air flow?
When I am on the highway the "ram air" effect results in plenty of heat
so it is not the heater box.

any ideas ?

Mine was too...while re-wiring under the bonnet, do to age, a PO butcher job, phantom warning lights when hitting the "right" pothole, I peeled back some insulation on the two feed wires off positive side cable. Copper wire was black with corrosion, mind that the insulation looked fine, cut out over 12" of bad wire. Also used higher grade 6 gage wire off the alternator positive feed, had renewed both batt cables last year. Cleaned all grounds (again) and greased mounting points (again). NO butt splices were used! Solder, shrink tubing, cloth electrical tape and wire loom. Blower motor "gets on with it" now. So far, no electrical hiccups too. Of course, yours has a few more wires than mine, same principle though. The electrical system is pushing 30 years, it's an important component that gets overlooked. Easier to be under the bonnet than tearing out the dash for a blower motor install just to feed it with old wiring....
