I have a '99 HSE and it has the Alpine head unit. I am having problems with the radio as it is unresponsive most of the time and then other times it will freak out and change station, CD, crank the volume, and all kinds of funky things. IT was working correctly for a week last week after I gave it a couple good whapps. Has this happened to anyone else? Is there an easy fix like a reset or anything else. It is weird to me because it does work perfectly sometimes. Is there a loose wire? Do I need to get a new unit? Thanks in advance for the input!

I've seen the Alpine units switch themselves on and off for no reason.

Provided you are confident the issue is the headunit, and not the steering switches playing about, I may be able to help. I've got 2 brand new and still boxed Genuine Part head units in stock at the moment. PM me if you can't get the unit fixed and you'd like a replacement.
