Just recently purchased a used 01 rr and when i turned the headlights on found them to be not working and unplugged, plugged them in and they worked fine , butt when i shut them off they come on shortly afterward and stay on. I noticed that if i open a door or use the key transmitter and hit unlock they turn off but still come back on again soon after . Im hoping this doesnt meand i could have a defective becm butt any suggestions or solutions? steve

I'd say faulty Becm but it maybe repairable, never heard of this problem before

You need to find out/check if wiring hasnt been messed about with, many a cock up has happened as people think they can use a test light on the wiring, in many cases a bad move cos they couldnt be bothered to read up on the P38s electrical system

The becm controls head lights via dash switch, maybe thats faulty
