Google it and you will find it's been discussed many times before on other fora.

I've recently started to do this. 2 tanks of gas so far. Not really sure what to think as driving style is what you can really control your gas mileage with.

I am really not a fan of additives, especially something not designed for automotive use. There is also warranty issues for those out there with one. Most warranties are voided by use of any additives. I know some chemist know it all will argue that "acetone" can be found in auto additives under the name "keytone" or "dimethylkeytone". However, isn't the idea of better gas mileage to save monies? With acetone at $18 - $21 per gallon at the local hardware stores are you really saving enough in MPG to even pay for it? Is there any long term information available regarding the effect on rubber, gaskets, plastics and seals in engines?
