Does anyone know which is the correct cable to buy for a Grom installation?

My car is a 2000 with the Alpine head with a CD changer, without Nav.

You need the one that plugs in in place of the CD changer.

As the site says, you need to check the connector on the back of the stereo but I believe it is the Rover one.

I've done this with complete success.

I don't know that Grom unit. I bought the In Car Connections box from the UK. Far better to retain the original Alpine radio and plug a tablet into that via the CD input.

Then you'll have three units all with potential grounding issues: the tablet, the connector box and the radio. Securely connect a ground lead to all three (tap into the black earth cable on the connector box) and connect all to the car frame tightly to remove any alternator whine; that's what I had to do. This is a brilliant P38 mod; you can retain the steering wheel controls and original AM radio which is far better than the AM in those dodgy tablets,

Just to answer my own question, for anyone in a similar position in the future, it's the PVR cable which is required.
