LRUSA's refusal to certify the TDV8 these last few years have cost them countless sales IMHO. If the FFRR and RRS had the TDV8 as an option, LRUSA would own the NA high end SUV market. I would place an order immediately for a loaded RRS TDV8 Autobiography; I simply don't understand the economics of not bringing the diesel option here. Unfortunately I believe that LRUSA will saddle us with some kind of hybrid that will add back a tremendous amount of weight back into the car and increase the complexity, (and subsequent out of warranty costs). Yes there is a suggestion that the car could be a diesel hybrid, although given the shortsightedness we've seen so far, I bet it ends up being a hybrid using the existing S/C V6.
