Hi all, i sold my rangie today, suspected rebuild needed no funded, looks like the rings have gone and it will need reboring it had very low compression across all cylinders, it was sold as spares or repair. basically needed a new engine in the uk thats running at £3500 plus fitting for a turnkey, £2500 plus fitting for new cocast block or £1200 plus fitting for remanufactored.
Rebuilding would have cost me about a £1100 in labour and bits i think so it had to go plus it needed loads more work that was no my list to do.

I just wanted to say thanks very much for all the advice given and i hope everybody all the best for the future.

Its been emotional

Yes ! Now the order of the universe has been restored. I was fearing some major world catastrophe. Glad someone did it. :)
