My 2014 RRS turned 9 years old last month. I was curious to see how long I could get the original battery to last. Sort of a game. When not in use, I had the Sport on a Ctek battery maintainer. Yesterday, 3 miles from home, the radio went blank and the dash lit up like a Christmas tree. Pretty much all systems from the gearbox to the ABS to traction control and more had faults. Also my radar detector was going wild for some reason. I made it to my driveway and started to turn in and the car died and wouldn't start up. Using my jumper box, the car started and I pulled into the garage. I'll be changing the battery this weekend. Moral of the story is change your battery before 9 years. RIP

Great job getting the most out of your battery. I, too, keep mine hooked up to my CTEK. Hopefully, I’ll get even close to as long as you did!

I just recently changed my battery after finding out it was the original from 2014. I had no issues besides start/stop not working. Did the math, and the battery was still going strong after 7 years, 8 months.
