I recently had my 2007 RR/SC airbag recall repaired at Landrover San Antonio and after the repair the glove box switch was inoperative. The dealer would not repair the switch without my purchasing the switch for $180. I am disappointed and angry with the dealer for breaking the switch during the recall repair then refusing to make it right. They claim it was just a coincidence that the switch quit working after the repair. Does anyone have the recall repair procedure to bolster my claim that they caused the switch failure?

A friendly question...

1) How can you be certain that it's the switch that isn't working and not a [more likely] problem with the release solenoid or the wiring connections?

It's quite possible that the technician simply forgot to solidly connect the release solenoid plug, when the dash went back together.

FWIW, LRDirect has the switch for $115.
