Hey all - I'm in the market for a new full sized SUV. I towed a 24ft trailer with a weight of about 5,000 lbs and a 500lb hitch or tongue weight with my 2015 Escalade. I moved out of the country and moving back and looking to purchase a RR. The only thing that has held me back from purchasing a RR Sport is the idea of using it to tow. Does anyone have experience towing with their RR Sport? How has it performed? I'm looking to purchase the RR Sport HSE Dynamic. Interested in your thoughts.

Also - My escalade had a great 3rd row seat. Does anyone have or use the third row option? Does it still come as an option on the 17?

I have the V8 supercharged and towing is an absolute breeze. There is a video by some guys on YouTube called TFL truck pulling an 8000 lb trailer up one of the steepest roads in the country at very high elevation and they said it was one of the first cars they actually had to let off the gas and slow it down a bit it was so powerful. I've towed about 5000lbs with mine and i was feathering the gas, there was so much power it was silly. The V6 supercharged is also quite powerful and with the supercharger, delivers the torque down very low which is great for towing, while still delivering the horsepower at higher speeds. I wouldn't hesitate a bit to by the RRS as a tow rig. Also, the latest models have a pretty sweet tow stability system.

I have a 2015 HSE V6 and it is an excellent tow vehicle. I have the vision package and hooking up is so easy. I find the RRS a better tow car than my previous RR L322 which had a V8. I have a smallish travel trailer 21' and around 3400lbs dry. It is so smooth I sometimes forget I have a trailer attached!

Regarding the 3rd row seat, the general consensus seems to be it's really only useful for small kids, not enough space. It's available on all models I believe except for the SVR.

Looks like an 2016/2017 28ft rear bed twin International signature - beautiful!!! We're taking delivery of our 2017 RRS V8 Dynamic in a month and a bit, then a month later a 2017 Airstream International Signature 27FB Twin. Exciting couple of months!

A few questions if you don't mind:
Did you do any hitch reinforcement?
Any problems with the RRS recognizing the trailer with the LED tail lights?
Any problems installing the trailer tracking sticker to enable tow assist?
Which tow mirrors? Do they block any of the mirror sensors or cameras?
MPG when towing? Petrol V6 or Petrol V8?

I have a 2016 diesel and tow a 23 foot wakeboard boat with it. Total weight is in the 6,000 -7,000 pound range depending on fuel and other stuff in the boat. I tows much better then the Denali with a 6.2 liter V8 that this replaced. I was getting around 9mph with the Denali and got 17mph on a 2,000 mile plus trip this last summer towing the boat. (That mileage was per the trip computer which some claim isn't that accurate.) I couldn't be happier with it. Much smoother and quieter than the Denali also with no notice decrease in power.

Gorgeous RRS and Airstream. Did the RRS recognize the Airstream or did you need to add an adapter like the LED Tow Connect or Curt?

Hi All - I'm about to pick up a 2018 Airstream (with electric brakes) and plan to tow it with my 2015 SVR with the tow kit option. The Airstream dealer is telling me that I need a break controller, is this true or is that already included the tow software? If a controller is needed, do you all have any recommendations? The dealer is saying only a wireless controller will work with our vehicles? Thanks.

Brake controllers have been covered a few times. Search tab is your friend. You will find recommendations and installation instructions. Yes you need one for heavy loads and of course it is not included.

Has anyone tried the Tekonsha Prodigy RF controllers on the 2014 and above models? Any issues? If possible, I would prefer not to put a control under the steering column. Thanks!
