I started the ignition of my range rover sports supercharged 2010 model and after sometime, I noticed that there was huge leakage of my transmission fluid while the engine was steaming. By the time I put off the engine and decided to start it again, there was "gearbox fault " message and the gear selector cannot select reverse gear. The drive gear selects but moves jerkingly. I have never tried to move the car nor start it again. Please what could be the possible fault and solution to this problem.
Thank you

Too much fluid leaked out most likely. If get it flatbedded to transmission shop or specialist and have them find source of leak - and do transmission service. Ammco did my pan/fluid/filter for around $200 if I remeber correctly- also charged a bit more to replace "sleeve" (plug for electrical connector) which is a common source of leak.
