Hello All,
2002 RR P38A 4.6 HSE LHD--Replaced Blend Motors, O-rings, Temp sensor. Has taken over a month to have time to do repair. Now have new OEM glove box strut to install but do not remember how to put it all back together. I get the brass-colored plate with the two bolts (RAVE, p. 953). It's the other end that mounts to the plastic fascia liner. Appears that a thick pin with its own split pin goes into a hole in the side of a raised track. Have searched the site, found some photos, but none actually show the fitment of the thick pin end of the gas strut. This seems like too flimsy an arrangement to hold up over time. A picture would be very helpful.
Thanks & Happy New Year!!!

Hello again,
As I go back through all the parts I took off getting the glove box out, it is now apparent that it must not have been put together correctly before by someone doing work on the Rangie for the prior owner. I think I am missing a red spacer that takes up the sideways slack of the gas strut mounting to the liner.
Again, someone with experience and/or photos responding would be very helpful.
Thanks,
Vancer
