Hello guys, just figured i'd start here for advice before I take things apart.
My P38 has had a quirky issue ever since I got it where the vanity mirror on the driver side (LHD) visor blows fuse 6 whenever the flap for the mirrors and the lights is opened. The passenger side works fine, but the drivers side causes this weird issue. Additionally, when the fuse is blown, the lights on both vanity mirrors and the gear shift indicator lighting do not work. Anyone else encountered this issue or something similar? I suspect it to be something like a loose or bad ground maybe?
cheers

Short circuit inside the vanity light bulbholder. When you open the flap, that operates a switch to turn the lights on. With a short to the ground wire in there it blows the fuse instead of lighting the lamps.

Fuse 6 provides power to both vanity mirror lights, the H-gate, electrochromatic rear view mirror and sunroof anti-trap. There is obviously a short in the circuit, so check bulbholder, switch and wiring on the sun visor.
