I need to replace the metal fuel pipes that run under the RR due to them being rather corroded. I'm wondering about using copper piping.

Anyone used it, have any opinions, have a preferred alternative etc...?

Out of curiosity, you cant just chop out the offending pipe and run hose with appropriate clamps?

Or is that too much of a bush mechanic approach? (best tv show BTW)

Possibly, but the worst bits are under the boot floor where the pipe makes two sharp 90 degree bends, which wouldn't work so well with flexible hose because they'd collapse. Obviously I could reroute the pipework to take those bends out of the equation, but then there would be nowhere to clamp them in place and avoid them flapping around.

I also want to replace the whole lot anyway - I figure that if I'm chopping part of it out, I may as well just spend the extra time to replace the whole pipe from front to back.
