Well thats about it..........Don't think the old girl has ever had it changed by the look of the conectors, all rusted up. Thing is no mater how hard I pull on the smaller nut it will not shift, even with a bath of WD40.
Am I being stupid, should I try to turn the filter with the big nut?
Don't think I should try to heat it up...... :)

You are using a wrench on both nuts right? The large one on the filter to hold secure and anticlockwise on the smaller fuel line fitting. You might try a blast of freeze and release penetrant.

2 spanners, pipe end is a 14mm, filter end depending on filter make is either a 19 or 21mm
loosen anti clock. no heat as its fuel, instant cremation if you do

Have the same problem and i bought a can of freeze lubricant but didn't test it.
