I noticed the lower part of my front grill was loose. When I took it off it appears the grommets or retainers on are missing from in the core support. Is the dealer the only place I can get these? I have tried searching but seem to only turn up entire grills. This is an 06 RRS.

That is what I was thinking as well, just about a 70 mile driver to my nearest dealer. Maybe see if the have ordering online.

Ok sourced them from a dealer and went to install ,but they are still too small for the attachment on the bottom. They just slide in and out and the grill is still loose. Anyone have a good picture or can get one of the grill mount. I am not sure what is going on but the above looked like what I say briefly in a video I say. The round insert almost fits through the square hole in the core support bracket.  Not sure if there is a difference between the UK and US market vehicles either as the videos I have seen are UK cars and the mounting bracket/core appear different to mine.

Here is my mounting. In red circle is the mount in and as you can see there is considerable room around the edges. It is just resting there, not held in. Then in the yellow circle is the part I have not seen in any other videos.

Beginning to wonder if this is some sort of aftermarket core support that was put on the vehicle.

I wondered if maybe it was in an accident and repaired with different bracket. What does your grill look like? Is it stock or maybe an upgrade?

By the Land Rover parts catalogue, the original part number was DIN500020 (Front End) and subsequently it has been superceded to LR013044, then to LR024332 and finally to LR054853. Unfortunately I have no access to the drawings of anything but the DIN500020, however they do not seem to include this additional piece of metal on your bracket. Possible cause might be that the later brackets were slightly modified and your car has the (possibly) later front end assembly. It may also be that the assembly is not a genuine LR part, but an aftermarket one (take a look here: https://www.lrdirect.com/LR054853-Use-Lr054853G) which is a bit different.
