I have the exact same problem and my attempts to deal with it are chronicled on the forum. First I changed the latches for brand new replacements from the dealership. They lasted a few days. That was a bit expensive, at over £100 each, so I got rear door lateches off eBay and swapped the motors. I've gone through this procedure about 5 times, the last a couple of weeks ago. In each case, the front door latches work for only a few days, then the motors burn out on both sides. I've now given up....tired of the cost and time involved in replacing for only a few days of remote working.
I hope, through the forum, there can be an insight into this frustrating problem and a solution....
