After my successful front air spring change (New Dunlop front bags and new Moog sway bar end links), I took the rangie to get an alignment at a local JLR indy shop since that's the recommended procedure. The shop called me to tell me they can't do the alignment because several suspension pieces need to be replaced. So, the long-awaited front-end refresh must be done.

I'm a little confused with the feedback I've read on the forum about the different brands of suspension components. To my surprise, I read mixed reviews about brands like Lemforder and Moog, which typically have excellent reputations. Lemforder is the OEM supplier for BMW, so I was very surprised about it. Feedback appears to be questionable at best for brands like Britpart and Delphi. Does anyone have any experience with the front-end kit from Atlantic British? They don't include manufacturer information on their site.

OR....is it the same case as the air springs....OEM is best?

I have usef Lemforder on my Audi with good results and also used them for my L322. They appeared to be good quality and fit was perfect. I don't have enough miles on them yet to verify longevity.

I think Lemforder is one of the OEM suppliers for JLR suspension parts. Some of the factory parts branded with Land Rover or Jaguar are made by them. And I'd expect the same with Moog.
Just as Bosch makes a lot of Land Rover & Jaguar parts including fuel injectors, pumps, ignition coils, with the only difference being that they put the LR & jaguar brand on them instead of their own.
Behr makes the radiators for a lot of the later models, but brands the ones shipped to the LR & Jaguar assembly lines as LR & Jaguar, but the ones sold to the public are branded Behr, Bosch, Moog, Lemforder, etc.

I was under the impression that Delphi was an OEM supplier to JLR for it's airbags and i have Lemforder rear top/ bottom rear bushes in my old l322 RR the quality is there so it's just my opinion to use OEM and do it once not two or three times

Does seem a little odd that Atlantic British don't advertise a description on their website...so why do you think this is?

They often do so maybe with supply chain issues, they are changing often and want flexibility. I have found AB to be a good company to deal with if not always the best price.

Lemforder is top quality and was the OEM supplier on my 2005 Range Rover. I have seen the best results with Lemforder while working in the Automotive Repair business. TRW is always my second pick when Lemforder is not available. Both brands are commonly used as the OEM supplier on European vehicles. I have seen so many premature failures of Moog components that I don't even consider them an option. I have also seen a high failure rate of Delphi components but would choose them over Moog.

Thanks all for the input. Still reading around and doing a little bit more homework.

I was viewing a repair video by Atlantic British, and they mentioned that that's the Brand they were supplying in their kit. The video wasn't for a full-size range rover, so I will email and ask. Their prices for the full kit were affordable, so I dismissed them because I thought they would probably carry generic brand pieces.

I'd be curious to see how well these behave for you as time passes. It would be great if you could check in periodically to give us an update :). If I decide to go with all OEM Land Rover parts, Island 4x4 has the best prices, even after conversion and shipping. That's where I got my front airbags from.

I just replaced the lower control arms on my 2011 with Moog because I have years of experience with their parts in off-road vehicles and they're usually quite good. Moog ball joints are usually beefier and better made, with better materials, plus I've never had one fail. Their LCAs also seemed a tad better machined than the factory parts I pulled off the car. The bushing material on those LCAs was also nice. I also replaced the UCAs with Delphi and used Moog ball joints. Overall, the aftermarket has the L322 suspension well covered with quality parts. The trick to preventing any of these parts from failing prematurely is making sure you don't tighten the inner nuts and bolts fully until the car is sitting at ride height. Once tightened go get it aligned.

Where did you source the Moog suspension parts? TIA

I did, errr had this done, with all Lemforder parts this past winter. Shop suggested it when getting an oil change, bought everything from FCP, got the truck up on jackstands, stared at it for an hour or so and called the shop back and pleaded with him to use my parts.

My philosophy with these vehicles is, stick with OEM. I've had so many bad experiences with aftermarket parts in the past and I don't need the headache.
