I get cold air in the drivers footwell on my 1996 SE, even with the heat on. Checked the manual and it says there is a vent down there that is controlled by the drivers side outboard heater vent. If you close the vent, the fresh air vent is supposed to close as well, but it doesn't appear to work. The only thing that works is turning on the recirculation switch, but then of course you have to run the A/C all the time too.

Before I stuff this vent full of rags for the winter, any ideas?

BTW - I just had the heater core, blower motors and 2 blend motors swapped out and I'm not getting any book faults.
