Frequent Infotainment reboots

Does anybody else have trouble with frequent infotainment reboots? Mine does it often when I’m driving , and the Memphis dealer couldn’t find anything to fix. I posted my software version, I have carplay installed as well on my RRS 2018 HSE

Have them do the update to 18D.
I just had it in for an update, maybe last month. 18D is newer and working ok?

As noted above the 18D update is available. I believe it came out on Dec 8th. The should be aware of it because they should be instilling the smart phone pack with it.

18D solved most of the issue folks had with 18C. I haven't read any complaints about it yet.

Awesome. Looks like I got 18C with the smartphone pack. Maybe it should have been 18D. I’ve got a call into the dealer, Thanks

Another post on this forum states that 18E is now available. You may want to ask your dealer about this.
Picking up a new Rover in a couple weeks. How can I check the software number? I would simply just ask them but I'm certain the salesman won't know and will likely say its been updated.

The most recent software that I have is 18D and it has so far corrected all of my issues. Some one did say 18E is available but my software sayI have the most current. To access your version: from the top screen select setting( gears towards the bottom of the screen). Then select all settings. The scroll down to software update and touch the screen your current version will be listed, like the photo above.

I would call the service advisor before picking the vehicle up and ask that it be updated when they prep the car prior to delivery. Also, have your sales person or finance manager add it as an item owed to cover your bases.
Yea nothing on Google about S18E everything since December is 18D

Got this (Hopefully up to date) software upgrade today. Lets see if it stops the reboots!

Nope. Still with random reboots of the infotainment system while driving. I’m guessing, if I am the only one, it must be a hardware thing.

I had my infotainment controller replaced that corrected the reboot issue.

That’s good to hear! It gives me something to ask for. They held my RRS for 11 days last month with no replaced components, no resolution. I’ll ask for a new controller, I guess

Just as an update, I am scheduled to take it in for a new infotainment controller tomorrow, but now, it hasn’t rebooted for 8 days after occasional reboots for the week after the 18D update. It looks like the 18D update was the answer after all. Weird that it took days to settle down after the upgrade, but I’m going to cancel my service appointment.
