Can anyone post some places outside the U.S. that is a reputable place to order parts from. I am looking for a sunroof seal for a 90 county. I might have to replace the sunroof though. It is grey. Thank You.

I need a sunroof seal and there are no complete sets in the US that I can find. I was told by Atlantic British and Rovers North that I would need a front and a rear seal and that they are both discontinued. I Figured I would check another country. Do you know a good option in Texas where I can check?

rrtoadhall, I have heard folks talk about Rimmer Bros and, as I'm getting ready to do a complete top end with cam, lifters, etc., I decided to go to their site and price it out. I'm amazed at how much cheaper they are than any domestic supplier but there must be a catch, right?

I know I don't have to pay VAT, but I note a reference to possible "customs" fees, etc.

How did this work with you and past orders? Did you have to pay customs fees? Were the shipping costs horrendous? Was the order accurately filled and did it come quickly?

I'm seeing about $400 less in costs with Rimmer Brothers and that's a lot of swag...even if I had to pay shipping.

I'm in California, by the way.

As to the question of why buy overseas when there are companies here? Price. My last purchase from Famous Four was an ABS accumulator for my '95 LWB. Including shipping, I saved nearly $100 for the exact same part offered by Atlantic British. And AB was the second best price I could find. $100 saved is $100 I can put back into my Rover.

I can highly recommend BritCar (http://www.brit-car.co.uk) and LR Series (http://www.lrseries.co.uk) but i'd make sure you e-mail them first to check they have stock or can get the part you need. With the older Rangies a lot of places seem to have the parts on their websites but not in stock.

Rimmers are good and i've had great customer service from FamousFour although in the end i didn't order anything

If you have the part number, Dunsfold Land Rover (http://www.dunsfold.com/Spares/PARTS.HTM) are worth a try as well. Shipping shouldn't be too much to the states for a sunroof seal.

I agree that LRSeries are a good firm. I've also found Dingocrofthttp://www.dingocroft.co.uk to be a good source of bits that are hard to come by. Their site is not always up to date, I'd recommend phoning them.
