5.0 SC...Which item(s) did you remove? Looking for something that retains the character of the exhaust noise, avoids drone, but give it more pure volume without changing the sound too much...thinkng of deleting just the rear mufflers (4 and 6). On my '10 I replaced #7 with a flowmaster and it was "ok" but it changed the sound to something less "exotic" sounding and more american V8 sounding

I recently had the #7 (resonator) removed and replaced with an X-Pipe. Every thing else remaining consistent with how my 2017 Sport V-8 was delivered.

My opinion ...not much of a difference (in sound) unless in dynamic sport mode using the manual functions with compression and higher RPM. In standard drive exhaust sounds as it came delivered from the dealer (to me anyway).

There is a notable audible change in exhaust when starting the car... a "throater" sound in idle.

What if we were to delete #7 and #8? And why did you install an X-pipe instead of just straight pipes?
Sorry- I had both #7 and #8 removed and replaced with the X-Pipe.

I went with that mod because I liked the sound of the video 404M3 posted and because we each live in WA I could have the same shop do the work.
Here’s a quick video of the resonator delete and xpipe install I did over the weekend. It’s def raspier. Wonder if the tone till change after the velocity tune
