Want floor mats for my 2014 V8 Supercharged sport. Seeing conflicting info online -- Did floor mats / shape of floor mats / securing pegs for the floor mats available from Land Rover change from 2014 to present? Or do all L494 floor mats fit all L494s?


Sites and dealers giving me all different answers. Not sure what's up. Just bad info ?

VPLWS0375PVJ - with ingot branding black (3 piece with one long mat)
LR041631 - plain ole carpet mats black (4 piece with two mats in back, this is what came with my car)
VPLWS0190 or - rubber mats (4 piece)

In other words, why would the rubber mats fit all 5 years, but the carpet mats only fit 2014-2015 or 2016-present?

I believe the rubber matts don't span the back seat footwell and they are smaller and fit into the recessed foot area per seat (if that makes sense). Look at Weathertech which has better coverage (especially for the front passengers) if you want a rubber matt. Also Weathertech allows you to specify year of truck to ensure you get the optimal fit. Much better value than the LR matts.

I bought the thick ingot branded ones - and while nice, the coverage area is not optimal (i.e. when the passenger extends their feet, they are resting on the floor board carpet. Sort of defeats the purpose. Replacing them with Weathertech (which should arrive today).
