Not at all recommended, Flex fuel engines/E85 certified are specifically built for both fuels. I doubt there has ever been a performance engine built for flex fuel since ethanol gives lower HP output and less MPG. You need to add in that the mapping of the ECUs are specific to Petrol

Thus proves my point for our engines. Our engines are not purpose built for ethanol. Our engines are nothing like the ones Chevy produced for the mid west where vast number of trucks, Suburbans etc run on ethanol.
