Posting here in hopes someone else can benefit. I started the Rover (06 RRS) yesterday morning to let it warm up and instantly noticed something was "off". Despite it being 4 degrees F outside, the engine was clearly down a cylinder based on the chuff-chuff-chuff idle sound. I drove to work anyway and any time the engine was under load the check engine light would flash continuously. I had a good suspicion that it was ignition related and not a clogged injector. Autozone stocks a compatible coil, in their Duralast brand, for $49.99.

I use the Torque app for Android and connect to the Rover through a Bluetooth ODB dongle. The code was P0401 - Cylinder 4 misfire detected. On the Jaguar engines cylinder 4 is the passenger side closest to the firewall. 8mm bolt to remove the coil from the valve cover. 15 minutes and done!
