Fitting Fog Lights to an SE

Ok, so i'm prepping for some light excursions into the bush, looking to get some additional lighting going on.

Does anyone know if the SE models came with the Fog Light Harness preinstalled? I looked behind the bumper, and there are the sockets for them to plug into, but when I checked the connection into the BeCM, there doesn't appear to be the extra crimped connection as shown in RAVE.
Under the hood, there is no Fuse in number 40, which is where RAVE specifies the Fog Light fuse to go.
Last resort is to pull the dash open and look behind the switch panel to see if there is a connector taped there, but it looks like a lot of work, so i'd rather avoid that...
The previous owner had a Hella driving light harness installed, and there is a switch on the dash, but i'm not sure whether it activates the fog lights or the driving lights, or both (!?!). Pressing it does nothing, doesn't light up or anything. The rear 'fogs' do work though.

And quickly, about driving lights. Are there any good budget lights around? Or should I wait and save up for some decent ones. I don't need a huge amount of light, but if I can get a modest improvement on top of the stock lights for a reasonable price it would be good. Any recommendations for brands, or shops to look at?

Cheers

Have you tried the switch in conjunction with the main beam lights on?
Not sure what the features were in Oz, but my 4.0 SE has foglights.
If the wiring is there, I think th efog lights will have to be activated in
the BECM.

My 1999 4.0 does. I'm using a replacement switch in the dash (where the original fog lamp switch goes) to switch the driving/spot lights.

Check with "Andrew e" at AULRO.com... he recently told me that a mate of his in Sydney was selling LED driving lights at a very reasonable price.

Cheers, Paul.
HID Xenon lights?
Ok guys, thanks for the help.
I'll put in the order for a pair of fogs next week and take it in to the dealer to activate them. I'll probably skip the extra driving lights for now, i'll pick up some higher wattage globes for the high beams if I need to.
The fogs should come with the breather hoses right?
