Reached 27,000 miles last week, bought her with a bit less than 22,000 miles.

Went to the local discount tire where they know me and they gave me a free balance and rotation of the awesome looking 22" wheels she has.

The local dealer has a coupon for $35 discount for lube and oil, if anyone in the Houston area is interested look here:

Ended up paying less that $200 and they even added ZMax to the oil, they performed a multipoint inspection and of course a free car wash. Ready for 5,000 more miles of fun!!!

I am very happy this Saturday!!!

What's ZMax?

Nevermind, I googled it.

I wouldn't put that stuff in any of my vehicles. Just now something goes wrong with the engine, and LR reject any claims because you added a third-party additive to the engine oil...

Well, it was the Land Rover dealer who put it in my engine. And I was checking the service record at the dealer and they used it in the last oil change too.

I've been using the ZMax fuel additive for years and never had any carbon build up in the throttle body of the 7 BMWs I've owned (1994 325i, 1997 328i, 2001 325i, 2003 M3, 2006 X3, 2008 X3, 2011 X5, 2017 X5 - didn't own this last one, it was a lease... dealer did maintenance under the 3 year/36k free maintenance program).

I know.. why I changed brands??? quality is not the same... still dream about my 2003 M3... those were 8 great years and 126,000 miles of FUN!!! (the 2006 and 2008 X3s were my wife's, she drives a Lincoln Navigator now and loves their quality and service)

It's smart changing the oil ever 5K miles. Be sure to check the level several times a week as well...
