We had a fire over the New Year near to my neck of the woods in Liverpool UK.
A fire started in a multi story car park and destroyed 1600 cars. No one killed or seriously injured but the insurance claim is in excess of £10M.
What is disconcerting is that the fire started in an old Range Rover. One of the photos in the link shows the fire taking a hold but I can't identify the model.

Looks like a P38 for sure. Maybe a 97?

LMAO still have no clue how you can identify that as a 97...
Ho man, oh man
Maybe he knows the driver, maybe he can read the first letter on the plate, maybe he's just guessing, maybe...

If it's this one..

..then it's a Discovery 1 or 2.
I am going to guess D1 because it looks like the tail lights are low mounted as opposed to the D2 whch has them starting just below the bottom of the rear window.
It also has the same front end as this, with the cross bracing.

John, I think you are right. It looks like a Disco1.
