Re: Father wants to buy my RR. EAS throwing alert - reluctant to

Have the Suspension properly checked out at an Independent Land Rover specialist that has the right tools to read suspension faults and also check the system manually which should be much cheaper than dealer, then:

a) Nothing wrong sell to Dad at $18000 (seems a good price)
b) Minor Fault say $350 take the hit and sell for $18000
c) Major Fault say $2500 then split cost with your Dad as he is getting a new system that should last and sell to him for $16750

Seems like a plan to me.

Good luck.

Hi Gaz,

Quick question, how should I go about checking the system manually? Are there regular tools I can use to check the system? Just curious because I did not find any specific detailed search results for a manual check (DIY). Please let me know and thanks for your feedback!
I simply meant to get the mechanic to get under the car and inspect the air bags and connections etc as well as the compressor and struts. A good Indy will have the full Land Rover kit for checking the special suspension codes and clearing them when the problem is fixed.
