Hello, new member and first post. I just picked up a 16’ HSE last week and didn’t see anyone here running these tires yet so figured I’d share in case anyone was worried about the size.

Had them on my 2010 4Runner and loved them more than the BFG’s so this was the first upgrade I had to do.

Also picked up a black aftermarket grill and plan to black out the rest of the chrome (except wheels) with plasti-dip. That stuff held up for about 7 years with no issues on my 4Runner and just needed respraying a fresh coat a couple of times.

Thought about a johnson rods lift, but a service tech at the dealership in San Diego said he hadn’t heard of them and any aftermarket part would void the warranty. Not sure how much I believe him, but I’ll continue to look into Johnson rods on here to see if they’d be a good idea.

Anyway, here’s some before and after pics. Along with a pic of the 4Runner...

You wont see that tire on many rovers because its technically not compatible, the top speed on vehicles is 130+, that tire is only good for 118mph.
Not that many will have an opportunity to go that fast. That is why i said technically.

Good point. I’ve only seen others here with the BFG KO2’s, but those are rated even lower at 112mph. I prefer more aggressive off road tires over speed, but I’m sure there are many owners who are the opposite.
Updated pics after blacking out the silver trim since the black autobiography styling looks so much cleaner too me

Do you have the truck lifted or are you in off-road mode? I would love to see a pic or two of the truck at a standard height if that is possible.
The blackout looks great.

It’s in off-road mode. Won’t lift it yet unless I get confirmation that Johnson rods will not affect the warranty. Here is how it looks at standard height
