Well, I was poking my head under the bonnet yesterday and noticed that the serpentine belt I replaced last year has aged a bit more than I like.

I installed Quinton Hazell brand last time, but considering how they age, I'm thinking about trying something new.

Anyway, after a little search, I came across a funky looking poly v-belt by Goodyear. The picture was too small to see the details, but looks like the ribbed side has small cuts in them. Supposedly, the design is supposed to make the belt last longer, as well as excel in other stuff, too.

Anyway, let me know if any of you have experience w/ Goodyear belts. BTW, the cost is about $35USD.

I've had one on mine for about 60k miles. I even bought the wrong sized one and it's working fine. I bought the thinner of the two, which apparently for my 00' 4.6 is wrong.

Thanks for the feedback, kmagnuss.

If you use it, it's gotta be good, so I think I'll go ahead and order one.

Mine is about 2year/25K miles old. Replaced it at the same time as the Idler Pulley. Got it from Autozone.
