I finally found a new, unused OEM RR expedition rack for my 2011 RR S/C. As expected, it is quite loud at highway speeds. I have searched, and have seen a couple of pics on this forum, but not alot of sound reduction discussion. I am going to start experimenting with various methods, and would appreciate any advice and suggestions. The noise seems to come primarily from the front center (where the rack sits closest to the roof).

Thanks,

Bill

I'm going to try metal air **** on the front and then also maybe some foam weather seal between the rack and the roof on mine. I'll let you know the results.

I have considered one of these fairings:

They are a more traditional shape than the Yakima or the Thule, making it easier to trim to fit.

I have also purchased two different kinds of water pipe insulator hose at Lowes.

I would like to use a little as possible to knock down the HIGH highway speed noise.
