just a quick question i have a p38 2.5 bmw diesel with eratic temp reading on the clock engine has done 42500 miles the head gasket is ok changed water pump and thermostat flushed engine through and rad all works ok does not overheat the problem seems to be electric can be at normal temp on clock but if i put my foot on the brake it goes up and does the same if the heater is turned on high goes in the red then returns to normal i have also had the charging system checked and the voltage stabilizer on the back of the clock checked as well any ideas

i have already done most of them improved it slighty just got to put a better earth to the fuse box but it was to be expected it had been standing for seven months before i brought i didnt expect it to be so gutless no poke not as good as my other p38s thanks
