EPB Emergency Release

Hello, I am hoping that someone can tell me where the emergency handbrake release is on my L320 RR Sport 2012. All of the You Tube clips seem to show a different center console setup. I have taken the handbrake switch out and I can't see it anywhere under there. Any ideas? Thank you

The concept is the same, the emergency release cable is under your cup holder. You may have to hunt for it a bit.
If you can't find it from the top, I found it easier to unplug the emergency release cable from the bottom (underneath the car) and pulling on it.

Worked well for me.

I have done quite a bit of hunting under the cup holder, but to no avail so far.
The emergency release on a Sport is a cable with a loop on the end. One of Umberto's posts states it takes 45 pounds of pull to release it. The cable can slide off to the side or under the edge of something.

Here's the first hit using search

Here the second hit on the search function...

There's a small round plug right between the two front cup holders, pry it out with a small screwdriver. Then, use the long handle in the tool compartment under the trunk floor next to the scissors jack, the one with a hook on one end. Insert the hooked end of the handle into the opening between the two cup holders and hook it into the loop of the emergency brake release cable, which should be clearly visible through the opening after you remove the plug (if it's dark you can use a flashlight, but it's sticking out and fairly easy to see and hook up.) Pull up hard. Say a prayer.

Yes, that will be why I could not find it. I will have a look when I get home. Thank you for this.
want to thank yous all for your info....the one about the pull it took to release brake was right and it worked it was more than just a small pull on release wire.... a REAL pull it is

Did you ever find the EBR ? I see a red handle in the picture showed , but I don’t see it in my car
Hi all I have a RRS 2011, I need to release the parking brake but struggling. I have followed this thread and have pulled the red loop is that what needs to be pulled with great force or is there something else that needs to be pulled? I have pulled the red loop so hard it's snapped off (oops).
I will attach a picture what it looks like, any assistance would be appreciated. Thanks for your time, Phil

I know this sounds really stupid, but as recommended by a friend, we got out of the car, rocked it back and forth a couple of times, started the car, put it in reverse and the parking brake released!
