Hi my Rangerover engine has seized up trough lack of oil even though it’s fully serviced and the oil light never came on, my extended warranty is refusing to cover this as they want more evidence of service ie invoices for parts used, as I don’t have them all but do have proof of service from a vat approved garage but they say it isn’t enough, I have a quote from an outside garage of £12.000 approx for rebuild and new turbos as know one will recon them.
I checked on google and I have had a reply from a company called engine sos claiming they will pick my car up after I have paid £800 and recon it and the turbos all done for £6000 has anyone any knowledge if this would be a scam as it seems to good to be true , thanks for reading

I am curious how many miles are we talking here? when do you change the oil ? If it is 12-15k miles BAM! V6 or V8. Do you check the oil level at least once a month, Do you need a total engine rebuild here?
