Are these SU or Stromberg carbs? Check there is oil in both dashpots (use 15-40 engine oil) and that if its a Stromberg carb that the rubber diaphragm hasdn't split or got a hole in it. Also check both dashpots move smoothly up and down in the top cover for the carb. Have you had a proper tune up, timing, carb balance, mixture and throttle linkage set correctly?
