Hello Everyone,
A month ago my Range Rover 3.5L V8 started losing power completely – I would be able to drive about 100m and then it would lose power (revs drop) and eventually stall when I’m pressing down on the accelerator (It sounds like the Carbs are sucking in too much air). If I let go of the accelerator when I feel it losing power, then after a few seconds the revs would go back up to normal and wouldn’t stall – I can then drive another 100m and same thing again.
I have changed the Fuel Pump, Fuel Filter, Oil Filter, Oil, HT Leads, Ignition Coil, Ignition Module, Distributor, Distributor Cap & Rotor Arm, Thermostat and have rebuilt the Carbs.
I read that this may be down to the cam, followers and chain?
