Been trying to find a good machine shop in southern California to rebuild 5.0 non sc block and heads. Everyone I call runs for the hills when they know it is out of a range rover.
I have the engine out and stripped just need to find a good machine shop.

Any recommendations would be great

Called them - they do not do the the 5.0 engines. He said they do not like these late model engines

Vance at Q and E machine in Fullerton are who I use for the 4.6 sleeves when i rebuild engines. We have talked about rebuilding 5.0 blocks I just have not had the opportunity of having one to play with.

Do you think I should contact him. I believe the previous owner did not do regular oil changes so I am guessing it spun a conrod bearing as it had a knock.

I spoke to Vance at Q and E Machine. He is willing to have a look at it so will send it in to him. Thanks for the recommendation
